Dr. John Dusay, Board Certified Psychiatrist, San Francisco, CA

Dr. Dusay was an evaluator and consultant for the California Department of Corrections.  He has been an Associate Clinical Professor at University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine and is a past-President of the International Transactional Analysis Association.

Thomas Nolan, Esq., Associate, Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld, LLP, San Francisco, CA

Mr. Nolan has litigated civil rights suits against the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on behalf of inmates with mental illness.  He received a J.D. from Stanford University, with distinction, and a B.A. from Yale University, magna cum laude.

Course is expected to meet the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.  Approved for 3.0 hours of MCLE, including 1.0 hours in Elimination of Bias, from the State Bar of California.

The San Francisco Jail Behavioral Health Services and the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department withdrew from participating because they are uncomfortable combining a discussion of jail programs with prisons.  The California Attorney General’s Office and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation have declined to participate.
