Our next free public awareness seminar, “Psychiatric Disabilities in Older Adults (65 and Older),” is Thursday, April 3, 2025, 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM, PDT, at the Marriott Marquis, 780 Mission Street at 4th Street, San Francisco, or live stream on YouTube.
Join People With Disabilities Foundation (PWDF) for a free 3.5 hour seminar exploring critical issues surrounding mental health in older adults. This seminar builds awareness and educates participants on meaningful support for seniors with mental health disabilities. Attendees will gain insights on common mental health diagnoses, housing options, legal considerations for end-of-life planning, barriers to mental health care, and more. Whether you’re a community member, friend, family member, or professional in the mental health or legal field, this seminar offers key knowledge and practical tools to better support older adults.

Continuing education information for in-person attendees: This course meets the qualifications for 3 units of Continuing Education for LCSWs, LMFTs, and LEPs as required by the CA State Board of Behavioral Sciences, provided by NASW-CA. This course is approved for 1.75 hours of MCLE in Recognition & Elimination of Bias and 0.5 hours of LSMCLE in Estate Planning, Trust, & Probate Law from the State Bar of California. Must attend in person.
