PWDF will present information about Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

This CLE is approved for 2.0 hours of participatory MCLE for attendees, including 1.0 hour in Elimination of Bias, from the State Bar of California. Scheduled date is October 5, 2016.

Event: 2016 Alameda County Transition Information Faire

People With Disabilities Foundation will be one of the presenters at the 2016 Alameda County Transition Faire sponsored by Alameda County Developmental Disabilities Planning and Advisory Council on Saturday, March 12th, 2016. The Transition Faire is a collaborative event that is inclusive of all agencies that serve individuals with developmental disabilities.

Workshop: Childs Social Security Disability Benefits

People With Disabilities Foundation will be presenting a workshop on childs Social Security disability benefits at the Support for Families of Children with Disabilities' annual conference on March 5, 2016. The workshop will address issues related to minor and adult children.

Seminar: Reasonable Accommodations in Housing for People with Psychiatric and/or Developmental Disabilities

Join us for a free public awareness seminar that will discuss fair housing laws, reasonable accommodations, eviction defense, and other related issues for people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities in various housing settings. The seminar will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in the the San Francisco Public Library's Koret Auditorium.

People With Disabilities Foundation provided a guest speaker on Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) post-entitlement/eligibility work reviews and overpayments for beneficiaries with mental and/or developmental disabilities.

Online Workshop: Disability Discrimination Lawsuits: Ensuring Equal Access to Advocacy for Clients with Mental and/or Developmental Disabilities

PWDF will be presenting continuing legal education on ensuring equal access to advocacy for clients with mental and/or developmental disabilities in the context of disability discrimination lawsuits at 10:30 a.m. PST on Thursday, March 12, 2015.

PWDF will be co-sponsoring and presenting continuing legal education on ensuring equal access to advocacy for clients with mental and/or developmental disabilities in the context of disability discrimination lawsuits at the Bar Association of San Francisco on January 16, 2015 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Seminar: Abuse Against People with Mental and/or Developmental Disabilities Part 2: Jails, Prisons, and Law Enforcement

Join us for the second seminar of our two-part series on disability abuse that will discuss the psychological and legal implications of abuse of people with mental and/or developmental disabilities in jails, prisons, and law enforcement settings. The seminar will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Monday, November 10, 2014 in the the San Francisco Public Library's Koret Auditorium.
