PWDF Comments on Social Security Administration Forms and Proposed Changes to Regulations

By PWDF Staff

Over summer 2016, People With Disabilities Foundation (PWDF) has made extensive public commentary regarding Social Security Administration (SSA) work incentives, employer reporting, individuals’ earnings records, discrimination by SSA, and administrative review of administrative law judge (ALJ) hearings on SSA dockets.
PWDF is a § 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency with expertise in medical (psychiatric and/or developmental)-legal issues and bases these comments on its 16 year history of providing legal representation for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) issues for people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities.  PWDF offered commentary on:

As of September 16, 2016, the SSA still has not publicly posted PWDF’s comments on dockets SSA-2016-0027 and SSA-2016-0030. PWDF submitted these comments on August 15, 2016 and September 6, 2016 respectively. PWDF will inquire with the SSA as to why it has not posted these public comments.

PWDF offers these comments to advocate for those we represent, i.e., people with severe psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities. We provided these comments in an effort to offer clear, logical reasoning for SSA policy, believing SSA can more efficiently and equitably serve those in need of its programs. You can find our full comments on these issues on our website on our “News” tab at pwdf.org.
